Workster is partnering with a leading B2B solution provider who are looking to recruit an AV Engineer for their offices in Bucharest, Romania.

Your Role

  • Install and test new equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operation
  • Use advanced crimping skills to work with various connectors like BNC, Micro BNC, RJ45, and XLR
  • Manage AV hardware and IT networks, including setting up star networks and ensuring all devices communicate properly
  • Understand the purpose and operation of scalers and matrix systems
  • Set up and maintain equipment for virtual studio productions, ensuring everything runs smoothly
  • Monitor and establish audio-visual connections between different units for seamless broadcasts
  • Troubleshoot and repair any technical issues that arise with equipment and systems
  • Minimize service interruptions by quickly identifying problems and implementing alternative solutions
  • Set up and manage equipment and transmission links during live outside broadcasts
  • Design and install custom audio-visual circuits to meet specific needs
  • Create and build hardware and systems tailored to production requirements
  • Follow best health and safety practices in the workplace to ensure a safe environment for all
  • Interpret and follow instructions from product owners, creative directors, and team members to ensure project goals are met
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other colleagues to support production needs
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies by building a network of contacts and exploring innovative systems and techniques

Your Qualifications

  • Familiar with key concepts like aperture, shutter speed, ISO, exposure, and camera lenses
  • In-depth knowledge of camera equipment and settings
  • Hands-on experience using communication equipment and systems
  • Advanced skills in video camera operation
  • Experienced in managing video feeds and switching during live productions
  • Experience with green screen techniques for live video production
  • Strong understanding of SDI infrastructure and its application in broadcasting
  • Comfortable with tech tools and managing projects efficiently
  • Able to collaborate effectively with others to meet common goals
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find creative solutions
  • Strong ability to work with others and explain complex ideas clearly
