Workster is seeking an experienced IT System Administrator to join a  leading  Gaming studios in Belgrade, Serbia. As an IT System Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our client’s systems, overseeing infrastructure maintenance, and providing solutions to technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.

What you will do in this role:

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and upkeep of operating systems, server hardware, and software applications in line with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical issues before they affect operations.
  • Optimize system efficiency through regular upgrades, process improvements, and system tweaks.
  • Implement and manage security protocols to protect systems, applications, and data.
  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and apply patches to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup plans, testing recovery procedures for effectiveness during emergencies.
  • Provide advanced technical support for system-related issues, including network, hardware, and software challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support technology initiatives and ensure system scalability and reliability.
  • Support system migrations, upgrades, and deployments to minimize disruptions.

Your qualifications:

  • Native or fluent in English (C1 level) with strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in system administration, particularly in complex or large-scale environments.
  • Proficiency with both Windows and Linux server systems.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Expertise in managing essential services like Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience with storage systems and backup tools (e.g., Veeam) is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge in system monitoring and performance optimization techniques.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with streaming and broadcasting equipment is a plus.
  • Relevant IT certifications in networking or operating systems are a plus.
