German-Speaking Senior O2C Specialist in Porto – Order-to-Cash Operations

Your Role

  • Lead and manage Order-to-Cash (O2C) operations, including order management, billing, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution.
  • Review accounts receivable (AR) aging reports, implement strategies to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and drive collection efforts.
  • Manage customer and internal relationships, resolve escalated disputes, and negotiate payment terms.
  • Ensure compliance with Audit/SOX requirements, internal controls, accounting standards, IFRS, and tax regulations.
  • Drive process automation, standardization, and efficiency initiatives to improve O2C workflows.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting to senior management.
  • Mentor and train junior O2C specialists, fostering a high-performing team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Logistics, Treasury, and Tax teams to align financial processes.

Qualifications for a German-Speaking Senior Finance Specialist in Porto

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 5–7 years of experience in O2C, accounts receivable (AR), or Finance operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of O2C processes, financial controls, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday.
  • Exposure to global business environments and multi-currency transactions.
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
  • Fluency in German (C1) and strong English communication skills.
