Workster is partnering with a global investment management firm to recruit a Trading Operations Specialist for its office in Sofia, Bulgaria.

This role sits at the center of the trade lifecycle, supporting global credit strategies in a fast-paced investment environment. The position focuses particularly on credit derivatives and bank loans, while ensuring efficient post-trade processing, strong operational controls, and scalable back-office workflows.

The role works closely with Trading, Middle Office, Fund Accounting, Technology, and Risk teams, contributing to the management of post-trade operations and the continuous improvement of operational frameworks.


Your Role

  • Manage trade lifecycle events and post-trade support across multiple asset classes, with a focus on credit derivatives and bank loans
  • Support trade bookings, swap resets, confirmations, corporate actions, and settlement activities
  • Perform daily trade, position, and cash reconciliations between internal systems and external counterparties or fund administrators
  • Manage ClearPar timelines and loan closing processes, and maintain loan activity in Enfusion, including PIKs and paydowns
  • Monitor lifecycle events and reconciliation frameworks to ensure accuracy and prevent operational breaks
  • Support confirmation management and lifecycle controls on a T+1 / T+N basis
  • Identify operational gaps and collaborate with internal teams to design and improve workflows and controls
  • Assist in defining operational procedures and service level standards (SLAs) to ensure consistent processing and escalation
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties while resolving issues efficiently

Your Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of experience in Trading Operations, Back Office, Middle Office, or a related function
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle management, post-trade operations, and reconciliation processes
  • Exposure to bank loans, credit instruments, or complex derivatives preferred
  • Experience with Geneva, Enfusion, ClearPar, WSO, or similar operational systems is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement mindset
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
